Floyd Alvin Dunson
Floyd Alvin Dunson, 81, of Nashville, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012.
He was born May 14, 1931, at Allene, Ark., the son of the late William and Katherine “Katie” Clegghorn Dunson.
He was an Army veteran, and was a member and deacon at Antioch Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, George Dunson, Billy Dunson and Donald Ray Dunson, and one sister, Geraldine Cocerham.
Survivors include: his wife, Faye Dunson of Nashville; four sons, Scott Dunson of Nashville, Doug Dunson of Nashville,Kirk Dunson and wife, Janet, of Center Point, and Budd Dunson and wife, Sharon, of Nashville; two brothers, Horace Dunson and Ronald Dunson both of New Boston, Texas; two sisters, Evelyn Sladovnic of New Boston, and Louise Owens of California; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home were at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, at Restland Memorial Park with Bro. Bobby Neal officiating.
The family received friends at the funeral home, Friday, Sept. 21, from 6-8 p.m.
