Obituary: Holsey Lee May
Holsey Lee May, 103, of Nashville died Jan. 17, 2013, eight days short of his 104th birthday.
He was born in the Buck Range community Jan. 26, 1909, the son of the late Nealy and Condule May.
He was a lifetime member of St. John CME Church where he served as Recording Secretary and was on the Steward Board. He was a carpenter and farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada V. May; a brother, Napolean May; two sisters, Lee Dell May and Maple Byers.
Survivors include: a son, Chester May and wife, Delores, of Nashville; a daughter, Ester Beavers and husband, Woodrow, of Sherwod, Ark.; two sisters, Inell Ellis and Girlie North, both of Nashville; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. John C.M.E. Church near Nashville with Rev. Anretha Walker officiating. Interment was to follow in St. John Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home.
