Amelia Moorer of Nashville has been named executive director of the Howard Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Hospital CEO Debra Wright made the announcement Monday afternoon.

Moorer has a background in art, technical writing, floral design and wedding events planning skills to assist her in this role, according to Wright.

She will be working full-time to expand the duties of the foundation director to include grant research and application and estate planning in addition to the fund-raising events.

Moorer is scheduled to begin Monday, March 25.
