March for Park set for March 12
Nashville Parks & Recreation will host its annual March for Park Live Auction & Fundraiser on Tuesday, March 12 at 5 p.m. at the Nashville City Park – Green Room.
The park is looking for items to be donated to this annual event which supports the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Trick or Treat Trail, and Holiday Lighting in the Park programs which are free to the public.
This year, the park is also raising funds to construct a pavilion in honor of the late park commission chairma Ronny Woods. Grant funds have been received to construct the Ronny K. Woods Wildlife Trail at the park and the pavilion would be located at the starting point and parking area for the trail.
The March for Parks silent auction will begin at 5 p.m. followed by a live auction at 6 p.m. Chicken dinner plates will be served for $5 per person.
