Bobby L. Stevens, 69, of Murfreesboro, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at his home in Murfreesboro.

He was born Oct. 25, 1943 in Murfreesboro, the son of the late Bob Lake Stevens and Mae Harris Stevens.

He was a USDA Inspector for Tyson Foods for 37 years, a U.S. Air Force veteran; and member of the First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Elliott, Ann Fletcher, and Pat Davidson.

Survivors include: his wife, Janet, of Murfreesboro; two sons, Rob Stevens and Will Stevens, both of Murfreesboro; and two sisters, Faye Hilt of Blanchard, La., and Kay Michael and husband, Robert, of Hot Springs.

Services were at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 in the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Wainscott officiating. Burial followed in Bingen-Ozan Cemetery in Bingen under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.

The family received friends at the funeral home, Thursday, Feb. 21, from 6-8.
